This month, 10 July marked twenty years since Coldplay released their debut album, 'Parachutes' – an album Rolling Stone declared at the time 'a work of real transcendence'.
Eager fans will be delighted to hear the band are re-releasing 'Parchutes' as a special, one-off run of coloured vinyl (transparent yellow, of course) that will be released on 20 November, 2020. 'Parachutes' of course features the group's iconic first major hit 'Yellow' (the official video has half a billon views).
It also features 'Shiver', 'Trouble' and 'Don't Panic'. 'Parachutes' charted as high as #2 on the ARIA charts and has sold 13 million copies worldwide.
In 2001, in the wake of the release of 'Parachutes', the band were nominated for five BRIT Awards, winning Best British Album and Best British Group.
