Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Designed to keep the environment movement active during the COVID-19 lockdown, stop fossil fuel expansion and raise funds for organisations and musicians, season two of Climate Fridays is here.

Climate Fridays, by Green Music Australia and School Strike 4 Climate, is a weekly livestream packed with artist performances and environmental panel discussions with performers, First Nations guests and young climate activists.

Recent global research is showing that Australia ranks second worst in the world on climate action. Climate Fridays is a way to bring issues such as this one to light.

"The convergence of our health and climate crises has created a once in a generation opportunity for change," Green Music Australia CEO Berish Bilander says. "Aussie artists, First Peoples and students are uniting behind a safer, greener vision for our future, powered by renewable energy.

"Climate Fridays offers music-lovers the chance to kick off their shoes, dance away the COVID blues, and get active on one of the biggest issue of our times."

Season one of Climate Fridays featured Emily Wurramara, Harry James Angus, Kyle Lionheart, Dobby, Montaigne and Lisa Mitchell.

Throughout season two you can expect to see performances from artists such as Gretta Ray, Cub Sport, Jen Cloher, Allday, Barkaa and more.

Climate Fridays streams online every Friday night from 14 August-25 September.
