British-Irish singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh is celebrating 50 years as a recording-touring musician, and he's bringing his 50LO tour to Australia in 2025.

An art-rock, pop artist with such timeless classics as 'The Lady In Red', 'A Spaceman Came Travelling', 'Don't Pay The Ferryman', 'So Beautiful' and 'Missing You', de Burgh will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Perth in May.

"After my 50-year career, I'm thrilled to be returning to Australia after 16 years – some of my exciting tours and lasting memories are from being in Australia and I can't wait to get there again," declares Chris.

The tour is currently weaving its way through Europe, with extensive dates in the United Kingdom before de Burgh returns to our shores. 'de Burgh's performance was more than just a concert; it was a testament to his dedication to his craft and his love for music.' - 519 Magazine

With album sales in excess of 45 million and nearing 4,000 concerts performed, Chris began his career in 1974 when he released his debut album, 'Far Beyond These Castle Walls', on A&M Records (home to Quincy Jones, The Carpenters, Sergio Mendes, Cat Stevens and Joe Cokcker).

"As I held a copy of that record in my hands, I had absolutely no idea that this would even go any further," Chris recalls. "I was incredibly naive about the music business but I was full of hope and dreams and, spectacularly, my dreams not only came true, they came truer than true. I had no concept that I was going to last as long as this. Fifty years? Wow!"

Tickets on sale from 3pm (local time) except Perth (12pm local time) on 28 October.
