As he nears the release of his debut album ('The Storm Before The Calm') later this month, Chris Cheney will embark on a national tour commencing next month.
The Living End frontman will headline concerts in Brisbane, Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney."Righto people here we go! Live music comin' at ya!" Chris says.
"I'm heading out on the road with my band this July/ August to celebrate the release of my debut solo album 'The Storm Before The Calm'.
"Gonna be playing the album in full and to top it all off I'm gonna be bringing the show to Fremantle and Adelaide for the first time too."
Chris has also released the next single from the record, 'Corner Shop', accompanied by a music video directed by filmmaker Sean McDonald.
"When I was a kid I used to spend hours drawing," Cheney says, discussing the clip. "Before I wanted to be a musician, I wanted to be an artist or a graphic designer.
"I feel like I've come full circle and rediscovered my love for painting and visual arts.
"It's quite ironic that I should have a song all about the corner milk bar and childhood memories, and that the film clip should find me once again sketching and painting just as I did when I was a kid.
"Music and art have always gone hand in hand for me, so it just seemed a great idea for this song to combine both."
'The Storm Before The Calm' is released 17 June, 2022. Pre-order it.
