Choirboys 2024 Australia Tour

Choirboys tour their 'Run To Paradise: The Stories Of Australian Rock N' Roll regionally throughout 2024.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Fresh from performing their iconic hit 'Run To Paradise' at the NRL Grand Final, Aussie pub rock icons Choirboys will celebrate their seminal album with a run of regional shows in 2024.

Dubbed a 'spilling of the beans', it's part story, part song that chronicles some of the wildest, risque, and outrageous stories of Australian rock.

"They didn't call it pub rock in those days, but we were there in the beginning and we're still here now," declares frontman Mark Gable.

The band originally formed in 1978, with its members having grown up on Sydney's Northern Beaches; with a front seat to the hedonistic lifestyle of the day, what they witnessed would play a large role in the creation of 'Run To Paradise'.

"Put it down to hearsay – it's our opinion, it's what we saw, it's what people told us and most of it is extremely funny and incredibly interesting," adds Mark.

"Some of the stories are so funny and just plain stupid because back then, we could do things that nobody else could do because it wasn't a normal job. There were no rules."

Without given away too much (aside from finding out what happened to a pair of Iggy Pop's pants), punters will be regaled with a plethora of stories interspersed with the band's own hits: 'Boys Will Be Boys', 'Never Gonna Die', 'Struggletown' and of course 'Run To Paradise'; as well as their own renditions of classic songs of the era: Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water', Chuck Berry's 'Never Can Tell', TMG'S 'Jump In My Car', Dragon's 'Are You Old Enough', and AC/DC's 'Long Way To The Top'.

Tickets are on sale.
