Country soul, Americana blues swashbuckler, Charley Crockett is set to reignite his love affair with Australia this month.
After a scorching run of sold-out dates in early 2023 including a Sydney performance we deemed 'all Johnny Cash swagger and George Strait strut', Crockett will headline concerts in Tamworth, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Ballarat, Gippsland, Melbourne and Perth. The tour features a revolving cast of support acts – Emma Donovan and Sweet Talk – with 2023 tour partners Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys joining Charley and his band – The Blue Drifters – for a special Valentine's Day Eve performance in Melbourne.
The 'I'm Not Afraid' and 'Jamestown Ferry' Texan singer's newest release is the single collab with country legend Willie Nelson, 'That's What Makes The World Go Around'. "Never thought I'd sing one with The Red Headed Stranger. Here's to '24," posted Charley.
That release follows Crockett's previous single, 'Killers Of The Flower Moon' inspired by the real-life murders of the Osage tribe after oil was discovered on their land (the song was released independently of the Martin Scorese, Leonardo DiCaprio movie).
An old-school bluesman with a country swagger, Crockett lassos the listener into dreamlike nostalgic westerns of wandering, whiskey, and the wild, wild west.
Tickets are on sale.
