American singer-songwriter Chance Peña has extended his Australian tour.
Already slated to play the sold out (except Perth) Spilt Milk Festival series, the 'I Am Not Who I Was' and 'In My Room' hitmaker will also headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December.
The East Texas native is set to open for The Lumineers on their North American tour next month, while later this month Peña will release his new album 'When I Change My Mind, I Don't Mean It' (out 29 August; pre-order it).
"Good stretch of life the past few weeks, very excited for these tours coming up and even more excited to put a metric tonne of music out in the world here in a little bit. Over and onwards, more soon!"
A songwriter who received a Grammy Awards nomination for co-writing 'Conversations In The Dark' with John Legend, the lead single from Legend's Grammy-winning album 'Bigger Love', last week Chance was featured on Sam Barber's newest single 'Better Than The Floor'.
"Adding another track to the EP with Chance Pena! I've been a genuine fan for a long time and it's an honour to have him on the record," posted Sam.
In the lead-in to the new record, Peña has released a number of recent singles including 'Collapse' and 'Tongue Tied', both showcasing his ability to craft cinematic folk-pop dripping in poetic honesty.
'Collapse' captures the moment when life feels like too much to bear alone – when you're caught in the whirlwind of change, learning hard lessons, and trying not to fall apart. "One of the first songs we wrote in the cabin earlier this year," posted Chance.
"A song about love and every nuanced thing between the beginning and end of it. Hope y'all enjoy and may it be a shoulder to lean on if you find yourself needing one."
