Mangling and destroying eardrums for close to 30 years, American death-grind metallers Cattle Decapitation return to Australia in 2023.
A band who added to their discography earlier this month, releasing their eighth studio album titled 'Terrasite', Cattle Decapitation will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane in September."AUSTRALIA! We're coming for you and bringing along Fallujah!"
Known for delivering blistering death-grind that forces us to confront the ugly truth about our species, the themes of 'Terrasite' touch on anger, despair, and our self-made impending doom.
"Conceptually, this album and the title equates our species to cockroaches – one of the most reviled and insidious lifeforms on planet earth," vocalist Travis Ryan told Knotfest.
"Musically and aesthetically, it does an about face to what we did with 'Death Atlas'.
"The artwork purposefully takes place in the daylight, the music is heavier, faster and dare I say more upbeat. It's about rebirth and adaptation. It's so anti-human that it's almost pro-human and vice versa."
With five albums under their belt (their most recent being 2022's 'Empyrean'), Bay Area beasts Fallujah bring a more progressive and technical approach to the table.
"We are beyond stoked that we will be supporting the legendary Cattle Decapitation on their Australian tour this September. This is gonna be a wild one. . . hope you're all ready to party."
