With her new album 'Wanderer' set to drop, singer-songwriter Cat Power has announced her return to Australia for a string of live shows next year in support of the record.
'Wanderer' has been produced in its entirety by Cat, also known as Chan Marshall, and features appearances from long-time friends and colleagues, such as the guest vocals of her recent tour-mate Lana Del Rey.
Written and recorded in Miami and Los Angeles over the past few years, 'Wanderer' is a 12-track album that encompasses the artist's journey so far.
“The course my life has taken in this journey - going from town to town, with my guitar, telling my tale; with reverence to the people who did this generations before me. Folk singers, blues singers, and everything in between. They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them,” Cat says.
The album features current single 'Woman' featuring the vocals of Lana Del Rey and also Cat's version of Rihanna's 2012 single 'Stay'.
'Wanderer' is out 5 October.
Tickets are on sale from 8 October (30 October for Melbourne show). Click here for details and more information.
