Perth live music event Castaway has been postponed, with organisers hoping to announce a new date within a week.
Castaway is subject to the recent ban on mass public gatherings of 500 or more people in a bid to restrict the spread of COVID-19.
Due to be held at Whitfords Nodes Park in Perth in March, Castaway was set to present a line-up including What So Not, Golden Features, Slumberjack, Motez, Wafia, Tina Says and Gnrley.
Zaccaria Concerts & Touring announcement: 'Zaccaria Concerts & Touring are sad to report that due to the Government’s ban on mass gatherings of over 500 people in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus, they must postpone their Castaway concert.
'It was scheduled to be held at Whitfords Nodes Park, Perth, this coming Saturday (21st March).
'The good news is, at this stage, they are planning to reschedule the event to now take place at the same venue later in the year. ZCT are currently working with the performers, council, crew and contractors, to establish a new date which they plan to announce in the next 7 days.
'This means all ticketholders can retain their ticket and use it for the rescheduled date, and don’t need to do anything further.
'The promoter would urge everyone to hold on to their tickets if possible, so they can still engage the performers, crew, food vendors, and the many contractors that rely on events like this for their livelihood. Of course, should you not be able to attend on the new date once announced, refunds will be available at that time.
'In the meantime, ZCT ask you to be patient as they work through the process so they can still bring you this super event on another date.
'Thanks for the amazing support and please stay tuned for more information soon.'
