Canadian alt country artist Cameron Whitcomb is headed to Australia in 2026.
The British Columbia native and 2025 recipient of the CMA Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award, Whitcomb will headline concerts in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney next May.
Known for his gritty, heartfelt, and deeply human songwriting, Cameron's rise to one of the hottest emerging country talents charts back to his days as a pipeline worker after leaving home at 17.
It was this experience that propelled Whitcomb to devote himself to making music, leaning into his passion for singing. His early songwriting was inspired by his journey in overcoming addiction and led to his breakthrough 2024 EP 'Quitter'.
Headline shows across North America and Europe followed with Cameron landing on Spotify and Amazon Music's 2025 Artists to Watch lists. His popularity has only continued to mushroom, with the release last month of his debut album 'The Hard Way'.
It features the 'Quitter' title track as well as his other massive hits including 'Medusa', 'Options', 'Hundred Mile High', and 'Fragile'. "Most importantly thank you to all the fans who listen to what I have to say, I'm beyond grateful for the support and kind words. I would not be here without you," Cameron posted when 'The Hard Way' dropped.
"All I hope is that you can find some solace in the stories I've decided to share in this record. I love you more than you know. Thank you all for being here from the start. Thank you for keeping me sober and saving my life. I love you."
Winner of 2025 Breakthrough Artist Of The Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards, 'The Hard Way' is further anchored by the powerful new track 'Call For You', written as a tribute to his mum.
"'Call For You' is a song for someone that you really care about, really love," shares Whitcomb. "I think we all have that person that no matter what goes wrong, you can just call and rely on. I feel like a lot of people come and go, but there's always that one person you come back to."
