A staple of Sunshine Coast's events calendar, in 2023 Caloundra Music Festival is rolling out the red carpet for some of the biggest names in Australian music.
Crowned Festival Of The Year at the 2023 Queensland Music Awards, the first artist drop features plenty of well-known bands and one international arrival.New Zealand's reggae-blues-funk cats L.A.B. ('In The Air', 'Controller') will fly across the ditch joining rapper Illy ('Papercuts'), indie charmers Middle Kids ('Edge Of Town'), rock stalwarts The Temper Trap ('Sweet Disposition') and R&B-soul-pop crooner Jarryd James ('Do You Remember').
"Excited to headline Caloundra Music Festival with some of our favourite bands," says The Temper Trap.
There'll also be plenty of fierce talent on display with rapper Sampa The Great ('Energy'), folktronica songstress Vera Blue ('Regular Touch'), soul-country-rock singer-songwriter WILSN and indie alt-pop artist Jack River.
Then there's roots-rock songmen Busby Marou, country queen Kasey Chambers, rock OGs Spiderbait and pop-rock veterans Thirsty Marc.
"Sunshine Coast, we're coming! Honoured to be a part of the massive line-up for Caloundra Music Festival alongside a bunch of Aussie legends. It's gunna be a biggie," shares L.A.B.
Adds WILSN: "THIS WILL BE FUN!! YAY!!"
The family-friendly festival will run 29 September to October 1 at Kings Beach, as the event's footprint expands with the return of the Surf Stage and the Funky Forest that will both pop up in nearby Lions Park.
