Next month, US hard rockers Buckcherry head back to Australia to showcase their body of work to fans new and old.
To headline gigs in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Buckcherry will be joined by homegrown local legends Rose Tattoo at all shows.A band who have sold over four million albums, have more than two million monthly listeners and have toured with the likes of Kiss, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe, a live Buckcherry experience is always a good time.
With such killer tracks as 'Crazy Bitch', 'Lit Up', 'Sorry', 'Say F... It' and 'Gluttony', Buckcherry released two albums before dissolving in 2002. Their first album 'Buckcherry' was DreamWorks' first album to go gold.
In 2005, lead vocalist Josh Todd and lead guitarist Keith Nelson reformed Buckcherry with a new line-up and released a new album in 2006, '15'. It contained Buckcherry's biggest crossover hits to date, 'Crazy Bitch', and their first Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit, 'Sorry'.
The band continued to record albums, releasing five between 2008 and 2019: 'Black Butterfly' in 2008, 'All Night Long' in 2010, 'Confessions' in 2013,'Rock 'n' Roll' in 2015, and 'Warpaint' in 2019. Their ninth album 'Hellbound' was released in 2021, and their tenth and most recent album 'Vol. 10' dropped in 2023.
The recording of 'Vol. 10' in Nashville saw Buckcherry reunited with famed producer Marti Frederiksen, a pairing that Todd depicts as "inspiring". The 11-track long-player features a cover of Bryan Adams' hit 'Summer Of 69' along with 10 new Buckcherry originals including their single 'Let's Get Wild'.
Reminiscing about the band's beginnings and early days in California, Todd describes the moment he "sold his soul to rock & roll".
"I will never forget it. It was the very first performance at a house party in Orange County. I knew in that moment there was no looking back, and no 'plan B'. It was only victory or death. Through adversity Buckcherry has had their greatest moments and they are having one right now. . . We will see you at the rock show!"
