The Brisbane music community is rallying behind one of the city’s most respected and beloved artists Jackie Marshall, as she continues to live with breast cancer.
With a career spanning more than a decade, Jackie has made her mark on audiences and artists around the country thanks to a run of critically acclaimed records, stunning shows and an Australian Music Prize nomination.
Now though, Jackie faces the challenge of her life. After revealing she is living with breast cancer earlier this year people from around the globe provided support to help pay for initial surgery and treatment.
The suitably named TITS UP fundraiser show – at Brisbane venue The Triffid 6 November – will help raise money to support Jackie through the next chemotherapy phase of her treatment.
The show will see a very special re-union of Brisbane’s much-loved band The Boat People alongside an incredible list of artists: Tim Steward (Screamfeeder), Silent Feature Era, Silver Sircus, Lucy Star Satellite, Phil Smith Band, Mel Fraser, Bob Weatherall, Chris Dale (Halfway), Hana Makk (MKO Sun), Kristy Apps, Emma Bosworth, Avi Misra, Sian Evans.
MCs on the day include Rock & Roll Writers Festival producer Leanne de Souza and the legendary Bec Mac.
