St Kilda Festival Edition Introduces Fresh Acts

New Gods
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After a massive day on the green with Australia Day and Triple J’s Hottest 100 at the St Kilda Bowls Club, the team at Bowled Over are gearing up once again for the St Kilda Festival Edition on Sunday 10th February.

Headline act New Gods, (named after the Meat Puppets song) have some familiar faces with members from Little Red, Eagle & The Worm & Ground Components. Having played alongside the likes of Alt-J, The Rubens and The Cribs and performing at sold-out EP launches, New Gods will hit the Bowls Club stage with tracks from their debut EP, charming audiences with their scuzzy indie-rock tunes.

The line-up includes brand new acts Mistress Mondays, Singles and Agility who will be leading up the local charge.

For the first time ever, Bowled Over will host some interstate guests with fresh young bands coming all the way from WA, including Stillwater Giants who were named one of Triple J's next crop artists in 2012 and Sydned-based Gang of Youths.

In addition to great live music and entertainment, the St Kilda Festival wouldn't be complete without barefoot lawn bowls, some BBQ action, the Tone Deaf DJs and giveaways throughout the day, sponsored by Converse.
