Fresh from a 14-date tour of the US and Canada, New Zealand rising indie pop band Borderline return to Australia this winter.
Best known for their 2025 hit 'When It's Raining', and having collected three nominations including Breakthrough Artist at the upcoming Aotearoa Music Awards (to be staged late May), Borderline will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this July.
Before they arrive, Borderline will have released their self-titled debut album (due 26 June; pre-order it).
"These will be the very first shows where you'll hear all the new songs live, and we can absolutely promise they'll be our best yet 🌟🎙️🕺🪩🎸! So excited to make this an unforgettable tour with you guys :)).
"Ever since we first wrote these songs we've been imagining playing them live, and really can't wait for people to experience it in person," adds the Auckland band.
"There's so many fun moments in the show that we hope people will love, and we're really happy to be touring it for the first time at home here in New Zealand and then over to Australia – it feels very special to us."
With a sound fusing funk and rock elements into pop soundscapes, Borderline is Ben Glanfield (guitar, vocals, keys), Jackson Boswell (drums, vocals), Matthew McFadden (lead guitar), and Max Harries (bass, sax).
They recently released another sneak peek of the album with their new single 'That Girl', which follows previous album cuts 'Terrify', 'Tainted' and 'Watching It Burn'.
"Our self-titled debut album is something we're all incredibly proud of," declares Borderline. "It's the sum of every single corner of musical inspiration from all four of us.
"Every song has its own character and place for us, shaped through sessions in home studios and late nights, before coming together in Roundhead's Brick Room, taking advantage of the vintage synths and time-piece guitars, as we explored and refined the overarching soundscape for the project."
Tickets on sale from 2pm (local time) on 14 May.
