Boom Crash Opera And Bachelor Girl 2023 Australia Tour

Boom Crash Opera And Bachelor Girl
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

When FM radio waves ruled Australia Boom Crash Opera and Bachelor Girl were the Kings and Queens.

The two hitmaking groups still fill the airwaves today, and later this year they’ll be joining forces on tour. It’s a chance for fans to hear all the hits and experience all the memories. . . All in one night.

Boom Crash Opera (BCO) are an Aussie rock institution with songs like ‘Onionskin’, ‘The Best Thing’, ‘Dancing In The Storm’ and more. They’ll kick out a bunch of songs you know, and play a bunch you forgot you knew.

Meanwhile, Tania Doko and James Roche of Bachelor Girl have a double platinum, ARIA Award-winning debut album with hit singles ‘Lucky Me’, ‘Treat Me Good’, and ‘Permission To Shine’. . . Plus the international smash ‘Buses And Trains’ which has been credited as the most played Australian composition of the last 25 years.

“I have always been a die hard, genuinely unapologetic Boom Crash Opera fan,” Tania Doko of Bachelor Girl says in a post on social media.

“I mean, come on. . . The TUNES! And they rock so damn hard on stage. Since I only tour with people I love, and I do love those BCO guys as people, I’m as happy as a pig in sh.t for Bachie and BCO to join forces and bring you all the good stuff we made from the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s and even today.”

“Who cares about the categories of ‘Pop’ and ‘Rock'? Great pop and great rock are both about great songs,” BCO’s Peter Farnan adds on social media. “So an evening with Bachelor Girl and BCO together on the same bill is all about great songs. . . Lots of them stacked up in row. . . And sung by exceptional singers.”
