More than half a decade since she last toured Australia, 2022 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient (who has won 10 Grammy Awards) American blues singer-songwriter, Bonnie Raitt returns in 2023 with two headline concerts in Melbourne and Sydney.
The 'I Can't Make You Love Me' artist released her 21st studio album, 'Just Like That', earlier this year."I’ve always wanted to make a record here [in Northern California], and once vaccinations made travelling safe again, we were thrilled to get everyone back together," Bonnie says.
"I think the absolute joy and relief of reuniting to play live music is really palpable on this record.
"On this record, I wanted to stretch," she adds. "I always want to find songs that excite me, and what's different this time is that I've tried some styles and topics I haven't touched on before."
Adding to the star power, Bonnie will be joined by the living legend that is Mavis Staples. The R&B, gospel, soul singer is a Grammy Hall Of Famer herself and last toured Australia March 2020 just before the world shutdown.
Tickets on sale from 12pm EST on 18 August.
