As they prep for their European/ UK tour that commences next month, post-punk rockers Body Type will headline a run of Australian shows from mid-August.
The quartet of Sophie McComish, Annabel Blackman, Cecil Coleman, and Georgia Wilkinson-Derums will play shows in Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth to promote their new studio album 'Expired Candy' (out 2 June).The follow-up to their Australian Music Prize-nominated 2022 debut album 'Everything Is Dangerous But Nothing's Surprising', Body Type have already teased the new record with three singles: 'Weekend', 'Holding On' and 'Miss The World'.
"'Expired Candy' is filled with hope, love, and danger, dancing with delicious uncertainty," Body Type says.
"In pursuit of joy we dreamed up songs about mothers, sisters, dogs, nans; family tantrums, forward motion, falling in love, platonic or romantic, with someone or self.
"Heart breaks, tooth will shatter, but she'll be there when it really matters. Flirty, feral and defiant, just how we like it. From our wild heart to yours, Body Type."
