The 23rd annual Byron Bay Bluesfest has picked up its third award nomination in a matter of weeks.
The Australian Event Awards nominated the festival in 2 categories: Best Cultural Arts/Music Event and Best Achievement in Sustainability, up against stiff competitors MasterChef LIVE 2011, Sydney Showgrounds and Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour.
The festival has also been named a finalist in the Helpmann Awards 2012 for Best Contemporary Music Festival and was nominated for the North Coast Tourism Award in the mjaor Festivals and Events category.
This year's Helpmann Award winners will be announced Monday 24 September at 6.30pm at the Sydney Opera House.
There's no stopping Byron Bay's favourite event, as the festival leads up to its first big artist announcement for 2013, to be released in the next few weeks.
The 24th Bluesfest 2013 will take place over the Easter long weekend in 2013, Thursday 28 March through to Monday 1 April at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm in Byron Bay, New South Wales.
