With a first round of artists that would constitute an epic line-up for almost any other Australian music festival, Bluesfest are stepping up with an array of world-class performers for their final instalment in 2025.
Leading the way are the legends Crowded House, bringing a swag of hits like 'Don't Dream It's Over', 'Weather With You' and 'Better Be Home Soon'. They'll be joined by a trio of contemporary Australian acts each at the top of their game.Folk singer-songwriter Vance Joy ('Riptide', 'Mess Is Mine', 'Saturday Sun' and 'Georgia'), psychedelic-rock groovers Ocean Alley ('Confidence', 'Yellow Mellow' and 'Knees') and pop singer-songwriter Tones And I ('Dance Monkey', 'Fly Away', 'Never Seen The Rain').
However, the talent doesn't end there with international arrivals including American blues-rock musician Gary Clark Jr. (who just drooped a sizzling cover of 'Crossroads' with Slash), English neo-blues, soul artist Rag'n'Bone Man ('Human', 'Giant' and 'Skin), Canadian folk, Americana singer-songwriter Allison Russell ('Wildflower And Barley', 'Nightflyer') and the blues-rock-gospel spirit of Mississippi, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram ('Outside Of This Town', '662').
There's also a number of exclusive performances headed to the Bluesfest finale, with American groups Here Come The Mummies and The California Honeydrops joining solo artists, Cuban Cimafunk and American funk-soul legend Neal Francis as well as Australian guitar prodigy Taj Farrant for Bluesfest exclusive sets.
Other additions to the bill are RY X, Brad Cox, Marc Broussard Pierce Brothers, Fanny Lumsden, 19-Twenty and WILSN.
"As we prepare for the final chapter of Bluesfest in 2025," shares Festival Director, Peter Noble OAM, "I am profoundly moved by the outpouring of support from thousands in our community, along with the many artists and their management eager to be part of our farewell edition.
