Blues On Broadbeach is set to return in 2023, showcasing some legendary names from the Australian and international blues world.
Blues On Broadbeach annually attracts fans from near and far to head to the Gold Coast and feel the rhythm, in their free event. The 2023 event is set to be yet another unforgettable four-day experience.
The 2022 event earlier this year was met with an overwhelming turnout, as fans shuffled in to experience the electric atmosphere. When it comes to 2023, expect bigger and better as Blues encompasses four blocks in the Broadbeach precinct, interspersed throughout the many vibrant streets, parks and venues of the location.
“We look forward to adding even more friends to the festival family in 2023. Blues On Broadbeach has become the Gold Coast’s home of Blues for over two decades and we are all excited to announce these amazing acts to the 2023 line-up,” Major Events Gold Coast Director Of Festival/Events Director Mark Duckworth says.
“We are gearing up for a rhythm, blues, and roots festival like no other in May, with some legendary international acts, joining plenty of homegrown talent on our Blues on Broadbeach stages.
“The 2023 line-up includes some exceptional singer/songwriters like Don Bryant hailing from the home of Blues, Memphis Tennessee, and much-loved Aussie icon Don Walker, plus arguably one of the world’s best guitarists, Tommy Emmanuel.”
Plus, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks return by popular demand in 2023, having performed at this year’s festival and impressing the crowds: “The Putbacks and I can't wait to return to Blues On Broadbeach,” Emma says.
Local Queensland vocalist and guitar virtuoso is also raring to performing with her band, which blew audiences away in 2021.
“I’m super excited to be returning to the Blues On Broadbeach stage in 2023, and I’m looking forward to presenting something new and exciting,” Lecia says. “Blues On Broadbeach is a great festival in a beautiful location that has something for everyone. See you there!”
Aussie rock ’n’ roll’s Kevin Borich will also grace the stage, as well as the joint Aus/USA musical collaboration The Turner Brown Band, and, hailing from Memphis, rhythm and blues legend Don Bryant.
Rounding out the stellar first line-up are some familiar names and festival faves: Jazzparty, The Mason Rock Band, Frank Sultana, and Steph Strings. . . Plus, many more.
