The blues will return to the Gold Coast in 2021 with Blues On Broadbeach set to land next autumn to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Nashville-based Tommy Emmanuel – regarded by many as the world's best acoustic guitarist – leads the 2021 line-up in an exclusive performance for Blues On Broadbeach."I am really looking forward to playing Blues On Broadbeach May 2021!" Tommy says.

One of New Zealand's biggest musical exports, roots legends The Black Seeds will make their way across the Tasman armed with new music for another exclusive Broadbeach performance.
ARIA award-winning artist Christine Anu will be digging into Aretha Franklin's song book and sharing heartfelt interpretations of the Queen of Soul at Blues On Broadbeach.
Don't sleep on Sydney's blues/ soul powerhouse The Lachy Doley Group, a must-see act who'll be returning to Blues On Broadbeach with some very special surprises to be announced later.
"After producing a digital version of Blues On Broadbeach in 2020, we can't wait to throw open the doors and welcome back our festival fans new and old," Festival Director, Mark Duckworth says.
"In 2021, we have curated a mix of artists to give the streets a party vibe and let live music entertain once more."
One of the largest free music events in Australia, other highlights from the 2021 line-up include the mega rock of WA act The Southern River Band, Brisbane's finest purveyors of the blues, Blues Arcadia, R&B, soul singer-songwriter Caiti Baker, perennial festival favourites Hatz Fitz & Cara and Sunshine Coast's So-Cal, hip hop and dub-reggae collective Bearfoot.
"What fantastic news and what a line-up for 2021," Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate says.
"Since lockdown, I've been dying to get amongst some great blues music, so with Tommy heading down under, I can see a record crowd milling around the main stages at Broadbeach.
"This event is iconic for the Goldie and I know thousands of people travel throughout Australia to get to it. Let's get those trumpets, saxophones, and guitars humming in 2021."
