With the revving sounds of Formula One set to reverberate around the streets of Melbourne's Albert Park for the first time in three years next month, the off-track festivities (where all the real action happens anyway!) are ramping up with the AusGP Sessions' high-octane line-up.
Set to feature a diverse line-up (indie rock and indie pop alongside hip hop and bangin' EDM) across four days (7-10 April), OGs Bliss Eso will headline the Sunday concert, with 'High' and 'Fire' duo Peking Duk taking control of the dance floor on the Saturday night. The Friday concert will feature G Flip (who just dropped her sexy new single 'GAY 4 ME') and soulful indie rockers The Rubens. "Giddy up! We're playin' at the GP on a bloody beautiful line-up. See you there!" beams The Rubens.
Emerging hip hop funksters Big Twisty & The Funknasty open proceedings on the Thursday (you know Big Twisty from the recent Menu Log advertisements).
"Start yo engines baby, Formula ones we comin' in HOT! Strap yourselves in ladies and gentlemen for our fastest show yet. . . Time to burn some rubber," Big Twisty says.
Other artists on the line-up include Confidence Man (whose new album 'TILT' lands 1 April), emerging smooth R&B crooner Budjerah and alternative singer-songwriter Alex Lahey, as well as Yo! Mafia (VDJ), WILSN, Nyxen, Cheeky Geezers and others.
Access to the AusGP Sessions (7-10 April) is included with all Australian Grand Prix 2022 tickets. More information.
