On the eve of their new studio album, 'The Sun', dropping and with so much time spent away from the touring lyf the past 18 months, Australian hip hop act Bliss n Eso are taking it old school with a gigantic 29-date national tour in 2022.
Set to span from January to April, the trio of Bliss, DJ Izm and Eso will venture to all the capital cities (yes, that includes Hobart, Darwin and Canberra), plus a stack of regional centres, even a heap of bush towns that hardly ever receive such talented musicians. Think Airlie Beach, Albury, Bathurst, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, Geraldton, Lismore, Launceston, Mackay, Moruya, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Torquay and Townsville.
The news does arrive the same day the lads have been forced to cancel their 'Send It' tour that was due to commence in September. Tickets already purchased will be transferred to the 2022 tour. Ticket holders will be contacted direct with the changes.
The three-time ARIA-award winning group are disappointed to cancel one tour, but are psyched to be returning with live shows in 2022.
"We have been busy working away on this new album for some time now," Bliss n Eso says.
"Being able to perform these new songs live on stage with you beautiful people in the crowd is the ultimate reward.
"We've got so many new bangers on this album that we can't wait to take for a spin for the first time with you guys.
"Those new tracks combined with all our classics is gonna be one hell of a ride. We're gonna tear the roof off and send it to the sun!"
Singles already released off 'The Sun' include 'Good People (feat. Kasey Chambers)', 'Lighthouse (feat. Jake Isaac)', 'So Happy (feat. SonReal)', 'Send It' and more recently 'On One (feat. Dizzee Rascal & Kings)'.
Tickets on sale 6 September (10:30am local time; 10am for NT/ SA). More information.
