Some four years since they last toured Australia, Bliss n Eso return with a national run this winter as well as dropping their emotive new soul banger, 'Good People' that features country legend Kasey Chambers.
The trio of Bliss, DJ Izm and Eso will headline shows in Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Brisbane and Melbourne. "This is by far the longest break we've had from our home on stage," Bliss n Eso says."To say that we're hungry for it doesn't come close – we are gonna EAT that stage! After 18 months of hell. . . who is ready to Send It!?!?"
On the pop-driven side of rap, 'Good People' is the trio's first new music of 2021 and the inclusion of Kasey Chambers is a poignant one that goes all the way back to the lads very first proper studio session as 17 year olds.
"Kasey, Nash [Chambers, Kasey's brother] and their mum and dad were all in a band together called The Dead Ringers at the time," Eso explains, "and we spent the night with the whole family recording beats and having laughs.
"Ever since then, we have stayed in touch with Kasey and Nash; even while working on this current album, Kasey would drop off homemade cookies to our studio for the whole crew to indulge.
"It was in these moments that we were creating 'Good People' and we needed a female singer to elevate the track; it didn't take long to realise that the angel that was surprising us with cookies was not only the perfect choice, but the actual personification of the song itself.
"Kasey loved the track, and the rest is history."
