Fans of Bleeding Knees Club, prepare yourselves for an epic thrashing as the Gold Coast punk-rock band is about to set off on tour around Australia with LA group Together Pangea.
After their triumphant ‘Chew The Gum’ EP and 2017 tour for that release, Bleeding Knees Club are psyched to hit the road again before they unveil their new album later this year.
Their last tour ended with a broken jaw and a broken ankle. When asked if the band plan to take it down a notch this tour, frontman Alex Wall says he does not want anyone to get hurt this time 'round. But he believes they will never slow down and will always play full-force.
The band have a few things up their sleeves for this tour, having recently wrapped up recording their newest album.
Alex says they cannot wait to play some of their new tracks. “We are really into juggalos [fans of Insane Clown Posse] at the moment. I think we are going to be incorporating a lot of juggalos into our set.”
Alex cannot wait to be back playing in front of packed venues. “There is nothing like everyone up in your face and just having heaps of energy and it’s all sweaty and everyone can get close you.”
Fans can look forward to hearing something different from the band when their new album is released later this year (date tbc).
Alex describes the album as a frappe; it is energetic but also sweet. “It is definitely the best thing I have ever done. We have got some female vocals throughout it as well, so it is a bit more interesting. It’s loud. It is the first album we have ever had the full band playing everything on it.”
Together Pangea formed nearly a decade ago and have earned their reputation for full-on live shows, with LA Record summing up a recent gig as: 'The kind of high octane, gasoline-soaked rock that hits all your pleasure centres with sticky melodies, power riffs and break-neck speed.'
Alex can’t wait for Australia to witness Together Pangea play live here for the first time. “I went to a couple of the dates on their current USA tour in New York and LA, and they destroyed it. I cannot wait for everyone in Australia to lose it over them when they come out to tour with us!”
Together Pangea's frontman William Keegan is amped to join forces with Bleeding Knees Club and tour Australia. “We’ve been dying to tour Australia for a long time. We’ve heard it’s a great place to play because everyone just wants to have fun, mosh and stage dive.
“So much incredible rock & roll has come out of Australia and we want to see what it’s all about.”
The 'Virginity / Chew The Gum' EP vinyl package;by Bleeding Knees Club is out 23 March.
