Hardcore punk legends Black Flag return to Australia in 2026, two-plus years since their last voyage down under.
This run of dates next May – taking in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast – will see original member guitarist-songwriter Greg Ginn joined by new additions Max Zanelly (vocals), David Rodriguez (bass), and Bryce Weston (drums), who were revealed earlier this year.
Zanelley is only the second woman to join Black Flag's ranks, and its first ever vocalist. 2026 also marks 50 years since Black Flag was formed by Ginn and original singer Keith Morris.
With a catalogue of hits including 'Rise Above', 'Nervous Breakdown', 'My War', 'Six Pack' and 'TV Party', the band's new line-up have begun writing and rehearsing together, building on their signature sound while embracing new influences brought in by the latest members.
With a string of North American dates planned next month as well as playing Coachella 2026, Black Flag's upcoming performances will showcase the chemistry and talent of the revitalised line-up, giving local fans a first taste of their new era.
