One of the world's greatest art-pop enigmas, Björk is bringing her theatrical production 'Cornucopia' to 2023 Perth Festival in an Australian-exclusive season.
Set to be her first performance in Australia since 2008, and with 'Cornucopia' having only been staged in a select few cities since debuting in 2019 in New York City, audiences will have four opportunities to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event at a custom-made pavilion in Langley Park next March.A conception of Björk's ninth studio album, 'Utopia' (2017), 'Cornucopia' is Björk's cyber-sonic Garden of Eden in which nature and technology merge in perfect harmony.
Co-directed by Björk and Argentinian filmmaker Lucrecia Martel, the production features water drums, a cocoon-like reverb chamber, a video message from Greta Thunberg, costumes by the fashion house Balmain, and the lavish visuals of artist Tobias Gremmler projected above designer Chiara Stephenson's beautiful forest of flora and fungi.
'Cornucopia' will be staged in a special 100m x 55m pavilion, the largest of its kind to be seen in the Southern Hemisphere and constructed exclusively for Perth Festival.

The complete Perth Festival 2023 programme will be revealed 27 October.
'Cornucopia' takes place at Langley Park 3, 6, 9, 12 March.
