Two of the biggest musical gatherings in Australia annually, the 2022 line-up for the respective Birdsville Big Red Bash (5-7 July) and Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash (18-20 August) events will be headlined by Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins and Kasey Chambers.
Staged in some of the remoteness parts of the country (and the world), both events are truly one-of-a-kind, a bucket list adventure that needs to be experienced to believed.Set to join Barnes, Higgins and Chambers at both festivals will be Jon Stevens, Richard Clapton, The Rolling Stones Revue (starring Adalita, Tex Perkins & Tim Rogers), Bjorn Again, Sarah McLeod, Ash Grunwald, Mick Thomas (Wedding Parties Anything) and Bachelor Girl.
"There's nothing on earth like the middle of Australia, so the band and I are really looking forward to kicking up some red dirt with everyone at these two gigs. It's a long way to drive, but it's going to be worth the trek," Jimmy Barnes says.
Big Red Bash will also welcome Kate Ceberano, Shannon Noll, Jack Jones, Dragon, The Radiators, Mi Sex, Chocolate Starfish and more.
Meanwhile, Mundi Mundi Bash's line-up plays host to Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows, The Wolfe Brothers, Busby Marou, Pierce Brothers and more.
"There is quite literally nothing like our events anywhere else in Australia, and as we hold the title of running the world's most remote music festival, I would say anywhere else in the world!" Festival owner and Managing Director of the Outback Music Festival Group Greg Donovan says.
"We're not on a coast or in a major metro postcode or big entertainment venue, and there's no wineries within cooee of where we'll be.
"Our events are run on two of the most remote Outback locations in the country, renowned for their rugged beauty and amazing landscape.
"Both the Birdsville Big Red Bash and Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash are camping based with awesome Outback activities and a killer music line-up – they're a true bucket-list experience."
In 2022 there'll be two incarnations of the Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash – with the 2021 postponed event and line-up with Paul Kelly as headliner set to run 21-23 April.
