Headed to BIGSOUND 2017?
Well it's time to head along to BIGSOUND's website, with the music conference today revealing that all 18 official venues across 4 massive nights have been programmed. That's right; it's time to create your very own BIGSOUND, choose-your-own-sonic adventure.
And with late additions including Oh Mercy, Abbe May and Sløtface, it's time to dig deep into the musical basket of choice with 152 of the country's most promising and touted acts headed to Brisbane (5-8 September 2017).
Oh, and for the musical nerds headed to BIGSOUND for the two days of conferences (that will explore and discuss such themes as race, culture, gender, identity and mental health right through to export, technology, touring, release strategies, Australian content and crisis management) another 90 speakers have been revealed today including rapper 360, Brett Cottle (APRA AMCOS), Monique Bour (MTV Australia), Chris Scaddan (ABC Radio), Michelle Johnson (Super Music Vision US) and Dave Faulkner (Hoodoo Gurus/ journalist).
"BIGSOUND Festival 2017 is the culmination of several years of preparation to take things to the next level," QMusic Executive Officer Joel Edmondson says.
"We're excited to bring everyone together in September to experience what we have in store. Thanks to the many, many people who make BIGSOUND what it is, including everyone that attends the event."
BIGSOUND 2017 takes place at various locations in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane from 5-8 September.
