BIGSOUND 2017 will be a musical explosion to whet any indie kid's appetite with 60+ bands announced today.
After 7,000 people converged and crammed into Fortitude Valley's live-music precinct for last year's event, revellers this year will be greeted by multiple performances by Donny Benet, Fanny Lumsden, Hayden Calnin, Hockey Dad, IV League, Mammals, Masonair, The Cactus Channel, The Creases, Winston Surfshirt and many, many more.
The festival’s international reach also continues to grow in 2017, with the UK’s Splashh and New Zealand Critic’s Choice prize winners Bespin heading down under to join the festival.

This year, BIGSOUND will give each act the opportunity to play twice expanding the live-music experience across four, big nights 5-8 September to ensure punters have multiple chances to check out the artists that get the most chatter across the BIGSOUND week.
"Once again we’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to the range of new and exciting talent being showcased at BIGSOUND,” said BIGSOUND Programmer Maggie Collins says. “I know these acts will follow in the footsteps of those that have come before them and achieve the international recognition that they deserve."
BIGSOUND 2017 takes place in Brisbane 5-8 September.
