In the wake of this year's cancelled BIGSOUND, the team behind the annual music showcase-conference decided to put on an end-of-year party for the ultimate all-out blowout.
Welcome to Brisbane's Big Summer Block Party, a free and 18+ mini festival that also kicks off BIGSOUND's 21st birthday celebrations when it takes over Warner St in Fortitude Valley 28 November with 5 hours of live music (21 artists performing in 7 venues), food stalls, pop-up bars and street DJs.The inaugural line-up features BIGSOUND showcasing alumni Eves Karydas, First Beige, Jesswar, Sampology, Golden Vessel, Clea, Eliza & The Delusionals and LÂLKA; as well as a selection of the Sunshine State's most exciting new artists like LISI, THE RIOT, dameeeela and much more.
"Cancelling BIGSOUND this year was devastating for us all," BIGSOUND Festival co-programmer, Ruby-Jean McCabe says.
"So being able to curate a line-up of Queensland's past BIGSOUND showcasing artists and those we believe are the future of BIGSOUND was a real treat for Dom [Miller] and I!
"It's a celebration of the incredible talent we have in this state, and a sneak peek of what BIGSOUND 2022 could hold."
