#1 Dads is the creation of Tom Iansek, the front man for indie darlings Big Scary.
This side project is a way for Iansek to remain creative between Big Scary albums and touring. And we are so glad he did as his first release ‘Return To’ is ethereal, featuring delicious bass tones and echoing keys. His record 'About Face' (which isn't being released until August), is a beautiful collection of songs about mundanity, songs about desire and songs about loss.
Make sure you steal away somewhere quiet for your first listen, it needs space and stillness to expand. But once you've in his world, you'll have trouble walking out of it.
