Big Scary Are Back With New Single 'Stay' Lifted From Their Forthcoming Album 'Daisy'

Big Scary's new studio album, titled 'Daisy', is due for release on 30 April, 2021.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

It's been a minute – four-plus years to be specific – since Australian duo Big Scary released their last studio album, 2016's 'Animal' (which was nominated for the Australian Music Prize, the group having won the same award in 2013 for previous record 'Not Art').

However, Big Scary have teased the release of their forthcoming new record titled 'Daisy' with the quirky, indie-pop goodness of 'Stay'.

"'Stay' is about the anxiety you sometimes feel when invited to leave the safe bubble of home. . . but grateful to friends who offer invitations," Big Scary says.

"Huge thank you to Near Dark Productions and our guerrilla team for making this video with us."

The pairing of Jo Syme and Tom Iansek (#1 Dads), they've described 'Daisy' 'as their most playful yet, with plenty of drama, and for the first time, no guitars'.

'Daisy' will be released 30 April. Pre-order it.
