Sunshine Coast event Big Pineapple Music Festival (BPMF) has been forced to postpone its 2020 event due to the continuing COVID-19 crisis.
The festival was scheduled to run 30 May with Hilltop Hoods, Alison Wonderland and The Amity Affliction headlining. But like the rest of the country (and world), BPMF has had to re-evaluate the running of its 2020 festival; event organisers are working towards a 'new date in early October'.
Tickets already purchased will be valid when the festival goes ahead; tickets holders can also apply for a refund.
Big Pineapple Music Festival announcement:
'Dear Piney Friends,
'The authorities announced a suspension of mass gatherings that comes into effect today.
'We're not sure how long this will be in place. We have been working on contingency plans in case this happened and want to reassure you all that the festival will go ahead but on a new date in early October, to be announced soon.
'Any tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for the new date or if you can’t make it, you’ll be able to apply for a refund.
'We want to thank you for your amazing support and can't wait to see you at #BPMF2020.'
