The press release says it all: 'Epic tunes. Lush surrounds. Killer vibes. And a bloody big pineapple.' Big Pineapple Music Festival is back in 2018 and they have dropped a line-up that is all killer, no filler. Serious.
You can't go wrong with major headliners Violent Soho, Illy, Dune Rats, The Preatures, Allday, Hayden James, Cub Sport and Cog. That is major pulling power.
The six edition of the Sunshine Coast classic will also expand to five stages in 2018, adding extra goodness to an event that features 'masters of the moshpit and head-banging heroes, to chicks with picks and electronic music architects' at the Woombye site on 26 May.
Other music additions include Butterfingers, Crooked Colours, Kim Churchill, Luke Million, Northeast Party House, Hobo Magic, Pow! Negro, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and The Vanns. Told ya it was epic.
'This year BPMF are changing up the way you arrive and depart from the festival. We want to make sure everyone gets to BPMF and leaves in the quickest and safest way possible.
'Our new Park & Ride system will aim to alleviate pressure on the roads and create a safer and more efficient transport system for all. This means there will be no vehicle drop offs allowed at the event.
'Instead, simply park your car or get dropped off at one of many locations around the Sunshine Coast and jump on a free bus to the festival. Buses will return to these locations after the event.
'Keen to stay put? Grab a camping ticket! Not only will you score two nights accommodation in the lush Pineapple fields, you’ll be treated to local acts spinning vinyl and a licensed bar on the Friday night. Two nights of epic good times awaits!'
