New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Bic Runga returns to Australia in 2026.
The 'Sway' hitmaker will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Fremantle next April.
The tour dates land with news Bic will release her first album of all original material since her 2011 record 'Belle' in 2026. 'Red Sunset' was recorded in Paris during the northern hemisphere winter of 2025.
Previous album singles 'It's Like Summertime' and 'Paris In The Rain' have been joined with the release of the album's title single today, a song about longing and desire, and being left behind.
"This song has been 15 years in the making – carrying me through different chapters before anchoring my new record," Bic says. "The full album, also titled 'Red Sunset', is my most personal work and arrives on 13 February 2026 [pre-order it]."
The New Zealand Music Awards Hall Of Fame inductee (2016) will perform songs from the new album alongside beloved classics from her celebrated catalogue – from 'Drive' to 'Beautiful Collision' and 'Sway', of course, and beyond.
"The song is a nostalgic reflection on childhood friends and those carefree moments of youth. Out now on all platforms - I hope you enjoy it! 🌞🎶," Bic posted when 'It's Like Summertime' was released last month.
While she describes 'Paris In The Rain': "I wrote this song on the last night of a winter trip to Paris – inspired by how beautiful the city looked in the rain. There was something magical about it; the lights reflecting on the wet streets, the feeling of saying goodbye. It's built around a historic 1807 Pleyel piano and feels like the beginning of a new chapter for me."
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 25 November.
