It seems like a national consensus was reached during Beyoncé's Australian tour that she's our favourite-est pop star ever, and this latest bit of heartwarming footage will do nothing to assuage that sentiment.
On the final Australian leg of The Mrs Carter Show World Tour, which was treated more like a royal tour than a simple series of concerts, Beyoncé gave one thirteen-year-old fan a moment she'll never forget. Sophie, a blind girl with hearing and muscle difficulties from Perth, was given a chance to perform a duet with Queen B on 'Irreplacable'.
This unabashed attack on the heartstrings came as a result of a touching video submitted several months ago to children's charity Hope For Children by Sophie's older sister, Ellie.
"She's never really been able to go to a concert due to logistical reasons so I made a video about Sophie," Ellie said. "I think someone as amazing as Sophie deserves to meet someone as amazing as [Beyoncé]. She had no idea that she was going to sing with her. It was amazing."
Watch the below video of Ellie's once-in-a-lifetime moment and just try not to cry at the sheer wonderfulness of it all. We dare you.
