New song, new video, new tour. Bertie Page Clinic have wasted no time since returning from France.
The free-spirited Brisbane band — fronted by notorious burlesque performer Bertie Page — have only just returned from a three-week tour of Europe, where they launched new album Too Loud Too Naked through French label Beast Records.
Local reviewer Headsucker described them thusly: "Spangles and glam, punk and transvestite, stiletto heels sharp as scalpels, station wagons, lyricism, grand eloquence and infernal vocal exercises, a hot, guttural sound which could burn a hole in your crotch!" Which is, you know, pretty accurate.
Australian audiences won't get to burn their crotches with Too Loud Too Naked until later in the year, but the band are hitting the road to promote new single 'One Swan Pond', a snarling little minx of a tune aimed at those "swimming in the shallow end of the arts pool". The track is available as a free download from their bandcamp page for a limited time; they've also just released a video for it that looks a lot like this:

Bertie Page Clinic will kick off their tour at The Hideaway tonight with rising rockers Street Pieces, who sound a bit like Powderfinger, INXS and Pearl Jam (but in a good way).
