Ahead of his new solo album, 'Brutal Dawn', being released this week, Bernard Fanning has announced a national tour with his band The Black Fins.
This October, touring will take in all Australian states in venues handpicked to showcase the on-stage musical chemistry between Bernard and The Black Fins; Salliana Campbell on fiddle and backing vocals, Matt Engelbrecht on bass, Andrew Morris on guitar and Declan Kelly on drums.

"I think memories are the best version that suit you most," Bernard says. "So, ‘Brutal Dawn’ is spinning that around and inspecting it, deciding whether that’s the case or not. The album also looks at the ideas of renewal and revitalising. How you look at the evolution of your life, along with decisions, consequences, your memories and the gaps between those memories."
In addition, every state will feature a different, local female artist to open the show. Making waves in not only their local scene, but internationally. Oh Pep! will help kick off the tour in Adelaide and also join the Melbourne shows, followed by Teischa in Perth, Tia Gostelow and Sahara Beck in Brisbane, Sahara Beck for an encore in Sydney and winding up with Maddy Jane in Hobart.
'Brutal Dawn' is released 26 May.
