American piano man and singer-songwriter, Ben Folds returns to Australia early 2026.
Set to play the same tour, Ben Folds & A Piano, throughout America the rest of 2025, the 'Rockin' The Suburbs', 'The Luckiest', and 'You Don't Know Me' hitmaker will bring his piano down under this summer.
The eight-date run will commence in Brisbane before travelling to Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Bendigo and Perth in February.
The concert will see the former Ben Folds Five frontman perform a selection of his solo songs as well as his band material – like 'Brick', 'Army', 'Philosophy', 'Underground', 'Kate', 'Song For The Dumped' and 'One Angry Dwarf And 200 Solemn Faces'.
The performance will also get cosy, with the Emmy-nominated artist and New York Times best-selling author to share stories from his career that is more than three decades deep.
A regular composer of music for film, TV and theatre, Folds composed original music for the soundtrack to new Aople TV+ special 'Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical' (which arrives mid-August).
An outspoken advocate for arts funding, music education and music therapy in the US, Folds, who served for eight years as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, stepped down from his post when Donald Trump announced his takeover of the Center.
On 25-26 October, 2024, just days before the US presidential election, Folds recorded two sold-out performances with the NSO, which he released as a live album in July debuting at the top of the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.
In 2022, he launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled Keys For Kids, which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits offering free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically-disadvantaged households.
