The ultimate top-end getaway for any serious music lover, BASSINTHEGRASS have rolled out the red carpet with the 2022 line-up boasting some of the nation's hottest stars and freshest talent.

The festival's 19th instalment will take place at Darwin's iconic Mindil Beach in late May – when the average daily temperature is 32 degrees and there's only one day of rain the entire month. Told you it was perfect.

When you're not working on your tan or adding to your Insta stories, you'll be serenaded by the indie legends like Boy & Bear, Dope Lemon, Hockey Dad, and Dune Rats.

Roots and country fans will be treated to Xavier Rudd and The Teskey Brothers, while there'll be fierce talent on display when Jessica Mauboy, Vera Blue, G Flip and Montaigne own the stage.

Hip hop OGs Hilltop Hoods, festival favourites Peking Duk, dance-floor filler Hot Dub Time Machine and rising EDM-hip hop slayer Hooligan Hefs will make sure the party doesn't stop.

"I can't wait to see you all and perform live with my band," Jessica Mauboy says. "I'm looking forward to singing some of your favourites and new music too with you all soon."

Hot Dub Time Machine is a BASSINTHEGRASS alumi and can't wait to jet north. "I really love BASSINTHEGRASS. I played it a few years ago and it's such a rare festival that has such a lovely atmosphere – there really is no festival like it in Australia.

"I love coming to Darwin to perform because it's so different. It's all the same down south, so it's great to come play in a totally different place. Plus, the crowds are always so good."

Meanwhile, it's been a long minute since Xavier Rudd last played in the Top End. "I'm pumped to be returning to Darwin after more than ten years for BASSINTHEGRASS. It's gonna be fire."

Adds Vera Blue: "I am so excited to be back in Darwin to perform to my wonderful fans again. It'll be such a wonderful time at BASSINTHEGRASS and I'm busting to get out on stage and play some new music."

This year's BASSINTHEGRASS attracted 14,000 revellers with the 2022 edition once again expected to sell out.
