London-based post-punk indie rockers, bar italia make their Australian live debut this winter.
The trio of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton will headline gigs in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in June.A buzz-worthy band the last couple of years, 2023 saw bar italia make their debut on acclaimed indie label Matador Records, releasing two LPs. Released in March, 'Tracey Denim' was notable for its compact two-, three-minute compositions particularly tracks like 'Nurse!', 'Punkt' and 'Changer'.
Then in November, bar italia shared their fourth record, 'The Twits', which was recorded by the trio over eight weeks in a makeshift home studio in Mallorca, and was mixed by Marta Salogni. Songs like 'My Little Tony', 'World's Greatest Emoter' and 'Hi-Fiver' are exhilarating rock songs, if a little wayward and strange.
Sydney and Brisbane tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 15 March. Melbourne tickets are on sale.
