South Australian bands have an opportunity to play alongside Cold Chisel, +LIVE+ and Robbie Williams at next year's Adelaide 500 V8 Supercar event 2-4 March.

Music SA's Bands On Track initiative will see two South Australian bands performing each night of the Adelaide 500 (which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2018) with six winners in total.

Previous Bands On Tracks winners have included familiar SA names like The Beards, Grenadiers, Horror My Friend, Wanderers and Koral & The Goodbye Horses.

Cold Chisel will headline the Friday concert, with +LIVE+ taking to the stage on the Saturday. While the Sunday night sees UK Superstar Robbie Williams set to perform a special headline concert.

Entries close on 15 December with winners announced on 15 January.

Music SA’s General Manager Lisa Bishop is delighted that the Bands On Track partnership is returning for another years. "Coincidentally it is also Music SA's 20th birthday and over the years the Bands On Track initiative has been a special partnership.

"This is a great opportunity for local artists to perform on such a large stage and thanks to the Adelaide 500 this tradition can continue."
