After the news his debut album, 'Gela', is set to drop in October landed last month, now Baker Boy has revealed his biggest Australian headline tour to date.
Set to visit Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin and Fremantle in November and December, this will be Baker Boy's first national tour since his sold out 'Cool As Hell' tour in 2019.Baker Boy has also released a music video for 'Gela' album track 'My Mind' – his recent collab with G Flip, who first performed with Baker Boy after they jumped on the drums during the Melbourne show on the 'Cool As Hell' tour.
"I wanted the video for 'My Mind' to have a really different feel from my previous videos and I think we got just that," Baker Boy says, who worked with director Jamieson Kerr filming the 'My Mind' clip on Wathaurong Country, Ocean Grove in Victoria.
"I worked with Aurie to develop a direction that felt really authentic, we just wanted it to feel like the camera was the perspective of one of our friends on a road trip.
"We stepped away from really polished, fashion and aesthetic focused clips into something really natural and fun but still touching on what the song is about with those cute moments. I'm really stoked with how well this turned out!
"Jamieson was an obvious choice to direct this one; his natural style really just matched everything we wanted to achieve for this clip. And as always, it was mad fun working with G – they bought all the vibes."
'Gela' will feature 'My Mind' as well as previous singles 'Meditjin feat. JessB', 'Move', 'Cool As Hell' and 'Ride feat. Yirrmal'.
The album will also include collaborations with Lara Andallo, Jerome Farah, Thando, the revered Uncle Jack Charles and notable co-writers Dallas Woods and Rob Amoruso. While Jerome Farah, Pip Norman, and Willie Tafa have each produced tracks on the album.
"It feels like it has been a really long time in the making, but I'm glad I took my time because it is a much better body of work for it," Baker Boy says.
"'My Mind' featuring G Flip, is a sign of the fun, party vibes that people expect from Baker Boy, but there are definitely some surprises on the album that I am most excited about people hearing!"
