For the first time in almost a decade, instrumental hip hop, jazz fusion group BADBADNOTGOOD return to Australia.
The Canadian ensemble of Chester Hansen, Alexander Sowinski and Leland Whitty will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne this December."To our friends down under! We're bringing the Mid Spiral 🌀 large ensemble tour to Australia 🇦🇺 Our first time back in years! Thanks for your patience and support."
A band responsible for such hits as 'Time Moves Slow', 'Running Away' and 'In Your Eyes', earlier this year BADBADNOTGOOD released the 'Mid Spiral' EP suite in three parts: 'Chaos', 'Order' and 'Growth' – that dropped as the group's sixth album late July.
On this recording project, Sow, Hansen and Whitty are joined by their close friends and collaborators, BADBADNOTGOOD touring member Felix Fox-Pappas (keys), Toronto jazz musicians Kaelin Murphy (trumpet) and Juan Carlos Medrano Magallenes (percussion) as well as LA musician Tyler Lott (guitar).
"We hope this music finds space in a positive place amongst the horrors of the world. We still need a cease fire and it's #freepalestine everyday, everyday," posted the band earlier this year.
