Bad//Dreems Announce Record Store Tour

Bad Dreems
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Joining record label Ivy League alongside fan-favourites like The Rubens and Josh Pyke is Adelaide-based underground rock outfit Bad//Dreems.

Bad//Dreems are firing on all cylinders; it hasn't even been a year since the release of their widely praised debut EP 'Badlands' and they've signed on as Ivy League's very first Adelaide band. It seems they've barely had time to stop and catch their breath, with a single release right around the corner and an accompanying tour due not long after that.

The band's first single with Ivy League, 'Dumb Ideas', was recorded with input by legendary producer Mark Opitz, of AC/DC, Cold Chisel, and INXS fame. Harbouring an unmistakably Aussie vibe, the song has been described as “a scathing put-down song, a missive to an ex-lover, or perhaps a clarion call to the boys from Adelaide to stay true to their beginnings”.

Following the single's release will be the 'Dumb Ideas Tour', scheduled throughout May and June. Keeping in line with the band's reputation as outsiders who like to do things their own way, the tour is unorthodox in that they'll be playing exclusively at independent record stores along Australia's east coast and in Adelaide.

The single will be released digitally on Monday April 14 through Ivy League Records, although it will also be available as a 7” vinyl for anyone who buys a ticket to the tour.
