Baby Shakes Cover The Angels' Classic 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again'

Recorded last year, NY garage rockers Baby Shakes have released a music video (created during quarantine) for their cover of The Angels 1976 pub anthem 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again'.

"Doc Neeson had such a great voice, so it was an ambitious cover," lead singer/ guitarist Mary Blount says.

"Some people said it made them cry and some laughed and said it cheered them up," adds lead guitarist Judy Lindsay. "We were thrilled that so many Australians expressed pride and nostalgia over hearing a classic song from their youth."

Just days prior to NYC enforcing quarantine, Baby Shakes were packed and ready to jet out to Europe in support of their newest LP. Then the world changed.

"Of course we were upset that we couldn't tour, we worked really hard for months, but in the bigger picture none of that matters when the world is facing a crisis of this capacity," Mary says.

But with plenty of time to kill and wanting to engage with their fans, Baby Shakes decided to film a music video for 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again'.

"We wanted to do something to lift everyone's spirits," continues Mary, "and put a smile on their faces, especially since we can't reach them live or in-person at the moment."
