One of heavy music's greatest live bands, Sweden's Avatar is finally headed to Australia for the first time.
Since forming in Gothenburg in 2001, Avatar have released nine studio albums, their most recent being 'Dance Devil Dance' released in February and featuring the duet with Halestorm's Lzzy Hale ('Violence No Matter What').Avatar will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane late August.
"Australia, we heard you loud, we heard you clear. We are finally bringing our 'Dance Devil Dance' tour, our biggest show ever, to you this August. We told you we were taking over the world, do you believe us now?"
The legend of Avatar has only grown over the years since Iron Maiden invited them on tour or the time Vinnie Paul claimed Dimebag would have been jealous of their riffs. While most of their European and US festival appearances always feature a who's who of the scene watching side of stage.
With 100 million-plus plays on Spotify and 163 million views on their YouTube channel, fans can expect all the hits including 'Bloody Angel', 'Hail The Apocalypse', 'Let It Burn', 'Torn Apart', and 'The Eagle Has Landed' as well as their recent single 'The Dirt I'm Buried In'.
